A world first, Utopia features the only full-range and fully open-back loudspeaker contained within a pair of headphones, using pure Beryllium formed in the brand-new 'M'-shaped dome.

The acoustic quality of this exclusive solution allowed Focal to avoid the use of any crossover or passive filtering process, achieving an amazing frequency response from 5Hz to 50kHz! This equates to a listening experience which is just outstanding, in terms of realism, natural sound reproduction, dynamics and clarity.

When listening to Utopia, the headphones virtually disappear and the true audio signal is revealed with a level of precision never achieved before.

Design is also a key point, be it in regards to the way of using the headphones, comfort, as well as the aesthetic. The true lambskin leather, used on the cushions, reinforces the character of classically elegant lines, as well as the expression of comfort and overall performances.

Utopia features a carbon fiber yoke, specially designed to fit all kind of sizes and varying shaped heads. Open-back ear cups for total decompression of the loudspeakers, a leather headband which cates for length adjustment and ear-cup rotation.

Plus, the earpads are of bi-material construction, made of true lambskin leather and microfiber fabric, filled with 25/32" (20mm) thick memory foam cushions, and the supplied premium OFC cables are connected via twin shielded Lemo® connectors with self-locking bayonet system.
