Atlas Hyper Achromatic RCA Subwoofer Interconnect

Hyper Achromatic RCA Subwoofer Interconnect by Atlas Cables is a double-screened subwoofer connection cable with superb rejection of noise and interference, suitable for runs of up to 10m. Available in 1:1 and 1:2 configurations.

Today’s sophisticated subwoofers for both audio and home cinema installations demand fast, accurate low frequency performance free of external RF (radio frequency) and EM (electro-magnetic) interference and noise picked up by the cable itself (usually heard as hum).

Hyper Achromatic uses an OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) high purity copper conductor with foamed Polyethylene dielectric; critically it has a double screen which make it perfectly suited to mixed technology (analogue and digital) systems.

The Atlas Cables Hyper range includes RCA, DIN and XLR analogue interconnects, digital interconnects plus stereo and bi-wire speaker cables.

Technology

• Achromatic RCA Connector - The Achromatic RCA is a low-mass, non-compression, constant impedance, self-cleaning, solder-free construction plug.
• OCC Copper Conductor - OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) process was developed by Professor Ohno, from the Chiba Institute of Technology, to manufacture a very high purity single grain copper or silver. There are only a handful of companies in the world manufacturing via this method.
• PEF Dielectric - Foamed Polyethylene. The foaming process uses a blowing agent, of which there are two types. Atlas use the gas-foamed method which creates a more inert, consistent and higher quality product.
• Co-Ax Construction - Central conductor (signal path) surrounded by dielectric material encased within a circular conducting screen which acts as the signal return path.
