The latest generation Equator Achromatic X offers a sophisticated, evenly balanced sound with a high level of transparency which draws you into the musical performance.

Equator utilises OCC (Ohno Continous Casting) high purity copper conductors with a PEF (Foamed Polyethylene) dielectric, This design and construction combines wide bandwidth with excellent resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference), which can raise noise levels with subsequent loss of low level detail in a poorly shielded cable.

The Equator combines high-quality materials with our next-generation high precision Achromatic X RCA connector.

The result is a tonally neutral, clean-sounding interconnect with stable soundstage and imaging coupled with excellent information retrieval while lacking any sense of the exaggerated leading-edge detail, which can be superficially impressive but quickly fatiguing when listening.

Technology

• Achromatic X RCA Connector - low-mass, non-compression, constant impedance, self-cleaning, solder-free construction plug.
• OCC Copper Conductor - OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) process was developed by Professor Ohno, from the Chiba Institute of Technology, to manufacture a very high purity single grain copper or silver. There are only a handful of companies in the world manufacturing via this method.
• PEF Dielectric - Foamed Polyethylene. The foaming process uses a blowing agent, of which there are two types. Atlas use the gas-foamed method which creates a more inert, consistent and higher quality product.
• Coaxial Construction - Central conductor (signal path) surrounded by dielectric material encased within a circular conducting screen which acts as the signal return path.
