The Equator DIN to Achromatic RCA interconnect by Atlas Cables utilises a shielded four-core construction, providing excellent immunity to interference and noise.

The humble DIN plug continues to be a popular choice among European manufacturers, with manufactures such as Naim continuing to champion its cause. Atlas Equator DIN-RCA has been introduced to meet increasing demand for a cable at this performance level. Based on the critically acclaimed Equator Achromatic RCA, this latest cable offers a superb price/performance ratio.

RCA termination is with the Achromatic non-magnetic RCA plug. This low-mass Achromatic connector features a precision calibrated cold-weld connection, creating a coherent, continuous signal path. The signal conductor is now high purity OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) copper encased with a superbly constructed double screen to provide maximum resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference), which can raise noise levels in a poorly shielded cable.

The result is a beautifully balanced interconnect conveying a large three dimensional soundstage and high levels of resolution in a cable designed to off excellent resistance to the EMI and RFI which potentially degrades performance.

The Equator DIN to Achromatic RCA is fitted with a 5-Pin locking DIN connector. Please note that Atlas 180-degree DIN plugs are wired as follows by default: Pin 2 = Ground; Pin 3 = Left, Pin 5 = Right. Other connector options are also available.

Atlas also offer 4-Pin and 5-pin variants suitable for Naim equipment. If you require one of these variations please contact us for manufacture lead times.

  • DIN Plug - Atlas high quality 5 pin DIN plug. Die-cast metal, multi-pole precision audiophile connector.
  • OCC Copper - OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) process was developed by Professor Ohno, from the Chiba Institute of Technology, to manufacture a very high purity single grain copper or silver. There are only a handful of companies in the world manufacturing via this method.
  • PEF Dieletric - Foamed Polyethylene. The foaming process uses a blowing agent, of which there are two types. Atlas use the gas-foamed method which creates a more inert, consistent and higher quality product.
  • 4-Core + Screen Construction - A pair of identically matched conductors (one for signal path, the other acts as the return conductor) enclosed within a non-conducting screen.
