Suzi Amp Modular Stereo Power Amplifier, by Chord Electronics.

The new Suzi Amp power amplifier incorporates the groundbreaking Chord ULTIMA amplifier topology, delivering 30 watts of stereo power into a remarkably compact design.

Designed to pair with the new Suzi Pre Modular Preamplifier, the Hugo 2 and 2go to form a DAC amplifier or streaming amplifier.

Suzi Amp features 4 mm banana loudspeaker outputs, RCA inputs, and a removable solid aluminium cover block exposing connections for the direct integration of the Suzi Pre or Hugo 2.

Front-panel polychromatic buttons control power and the AV bypass feature, and its casework venting ensures optimal thermal performance.

A 12 V DC output is provided for compatibility with other Chord Electronics devices and a headphone pass-through (3.5 mm and 6.35 mm) is active when the Suzi Amp is connected to the Suzi Pre or Hugo 2.

Configuration Options

Along with the matching Suzi Pre, Hugo 2 and 2go, the modular concept offers many versatile configurations, including:

Suzi Amp - Used alone, as a standalone stereo power amplifer.

+ Suzi Pre - Use with Suzi Pre to create a compact pre / power amplifier with phono stage and headphone out.

+ Hugo 2 - Use with the Hugo 2, to create a DAC / Amplifier setup (add USB-C/B inputs with the Multiplexer accessory)

+ Hugo 2 + 2go - Use with Hugo 2 and 2go to create a streaming DAC / Amp with up to 2 TB MicroSD storage.

When the Suzi Amp is paired with the Hugo 2 DAC and the 2go streamer, it transforms into a streaming amplifier complete with Roon Endpoint and DLNA/UPnP connectivity, plus the potential for up to 2 TB of onboard solid state storage from the 2go’s twin MicroSD slots.

For enhanced versatility when using the Hugo 2 and Suzi Amp combination, the Chord USB multiplexer expansion accessory (available separately) connects to the Hugo 2’s dual Micro USB inputs, and adds USB-B data inputs, plus USB-C data and charging. The Hugo 2 automatically detects the active input, allowing for simultaneous connections.
