Premium open-back headphones featuring a proprietary bio-dynamic diaphragm, with acoustic tuning that unlocks its full potential. Based on the TH900MK2, Fostex's highest-rated headphones ever, this newly developed open-back high-end headphone model.

Please note this product is the Simplified Packaging Edition of the TH909, which does not include a headphone stand, and features simplified packaging. The included cable is 2.00m long with PVC sheathing (same cable as the TH910, etc.)

The surface finish of the wooden parts is achieved using a lacquer craft technique uniquely developed by Sakamoto Otosho Shoten Co. Ltd., a company founded in 1900 (Meiji 33) that applies traditional Japanese craftsmanship to modern industrial products.

The lacquer used consists of a base black lacquer and an adhesive lacquer for applying the foil. To express a sophisticated sense of depth, several types of silver foil, smoked with sulphur, are applied in a torn-paper-like manner.

A premium wood species native to Japan, derived from a variety of the birch tree (Betula). Known for its fine, dense grain and hardness, Mizume Cherry yields a beautiful surface finish, making it ideal for furniture manufacturing. For the TH909, skilled artisans meticulously hand-finish each piece.

The magnetic circuit employing a repulsive magnetic field incorporates an ultra-powerful driver unit with a magnetic flux density of 1.5 tesla, delivering an expansive dynamic range through a low-distortion, ultra-powerful high-performance magnetic circuit.

The ear cup housing openings feature a unique design with double-layered etched-aluminium parts that change their impression depending on light intensity and angle. Furthermore, through the opening ratio and repeated fine-tuning of each internal component, it reproduces a natural sound field that is comfortable and fatigue-free.

The TH909LE comes with a 7N (99.99999%) grade high-purity OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) unbalanced cable, which maximizes transmission capability by eliminating impurities to the utmost degree.
